One of the CD's that has taken up the most time in my player this year is Two Gallants' What The Toll Tells.

A guitar & drums duo from San Francisco, these guys tell cool stories over bluesy rock (or is it rocky blues?) in a unique way that fends off lazy White Stripes and Black Keys comparisons.

They are playing Bowery next month, and I can't wait to hear and feel their sound live.
