For months, friends of mine in L.A. have been telling me about Monsters Are Waiting, and how they've been tearing up Spaceland out there.To me they sound a lot like Elastica's better days, but singer Annalee sounds a lot more like Altered Images' Claire Grogan, or Wendy James of Transvision Vamp and Racine.
Their album Fascination is out tomorrow, and they hit NYC for two shows at Pianos this Wednesday and Thursday.
