Are you looking to get out of town for a few days? Tired of the crowds at the Angelica?
Well, make a trip to Vermont and hit the premier film festival in New England. The Green Mountain Film Festival starts on March 21 and runs through March 30.
For the music fans, there are documentaries on Joe Strummer and Pete Seeger; as well as Todd Haynes' I'm Not There.
For sports fans, there's a documentary on Bill "Spaceman" Lee.
And for the general film buff, there's a ton of foreign and independent releases at the festival. You can see a full rundown of the films here.
You can't buy advance tickets online but you can order them via phone or mail. All of the details are here.
So, get out of the city (4.5 hours north of NYC), do some skiing and check out some movies in bucolic VT. Sounds like a good weekend.
